LIGHTENING THE LOAD

Our goal is to engage and support the community in various ways. One is "Lightening the Load" where we provided pre-loaded laundry cards to patrons at Temple Hills Laundromat. During this event we also provided bleach, detergent, along with food and drinks. This was done in partnership with the Prince George’s County Police Department.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Key to Karma Inc. has engaged in outreach to provide community residents with food, clothing and school supplies.  We are now the proud owners of a 53-foot Cold Storage Trailer which is housed in Brandywine, Maryland and we look forward to keeping this trailer stocked with food items to distribute to the community.

We provide hot meals weekly to individuals who have chronic illnesses and are unable to prepare meals on their own.  Every year we adopt several families for Christmas and provide them with food and presents. Families are identified by community members, Prince George’s County Department of Social Services, and Angel Tree Project. We also host an Annual Thanksgiving Holiday Food Basket giveaway where we distribute over 3,000 Holiday Baskets to families in need.
